Opal Transcription Services is an audio transcription agency serving businesses, academic institutions, podcasters, and media professionals in the United States and Canada. Our blog covers a variety of audio, tech, and remote work topics, NOT just audio transcription, so feel free to get creative with your pitch.

Our site has an Ahrefs DR of 42 and growing. In exchange for contributing a high-quality guest post, you’ll receive a short author bio with a link to your website. If you’re a well-known company or blogger, we may also let you link to a relevant post on your website within the body of the article itself, subject to editorial approval.

Contributor guidelines

Guest posts must be non-promotional in nature and may cover any of the following topics:

  • Audio and video (pitches from music blogs are welcome, but please keep your pitch audio focused)
  • Podcasting
  • Online business, digital marketing, SaaS, technology
  • E-learning, online education, edtech
  • Jobs, careers, HR (with a focus on remote work)
  • Virtual assistants
  • Work from home and personal finance

All guest posts must be original and not published anywhere else. Finished drafts are subject to editor approval. Links within the body of the post may be removed or nofollowed at editor discretion.

What to include in your pitch

Your pitch should include:

  • Your company name and the URL of the site you want to link to in your bio.
  • One to three topic ideas.
  • Links to sample guest posts (optional).

Your pitch should NOT include:

  • Spelling and grammatical errors. If your outreach email appears to have been outsourced to a $4-an-hour VA, I’m going to assume your guest post will be of similar quality and I will delete your email.

Although not required, the following will greatly increase the chances of your pitch getting accepted:

  • Your company or blog is based in the US or Canada.
  • You’ve included a link to a sample guest post.
  • You have a well-established website, blog, or brand.
  • You have done some keyword research demonstrating that your topic has adequate search volume and the SERP isn’t too competitive for a DR 40+ site.
